The EmPower Breakfast is a monthly event featuring a notable speaker, access to business leaders and networkers and, of course, breakfast! Anyone can do a breakfast, but as an EmPower Breakfast Area Director, we will train you to conduct a breakfast that takes only 2-3 hours per week but provides your existing business with quality connections and gives you a high level of credibility as a community leader.

Our Mission

EmPower Breakfast creates an environment to serve Metro Business Professionals and Business Owners to meet and form partnerships and strategic alliances. This is done in a non-membership, non-compete, monthly event focused on fun and relationship building. The EmPower Breakfast, with it’s 20-year tradition, is the best way to expand new and established businesses.

Our Team

Michael McKee has been involved with the EmPower Breakfast concept since its beginning in 2001. He's been an active recruiter and EmCee for many years. When the Breakfast was in danger of closing down, he stepped forward with a plan to revive the event and has made it a success ever since. Jim Barger joined Michael as a partner in 2021 and they have developed an idea for an international concept.

Our Goals

We believe the EmPower Breakfast has the potential to be a significant agent of change for business communities. Yes, it's just a breakfast, but our roots as a non-membership community development event with no commercial agenda allows participants to enjoy themselves and meet other like-minded business professionals. Our mix of featured speakers and ability for people to have a place on the agenda is a purposeful way to make the EmPower Breakfast truly an event for everyone.
